Looking for a man – that's how almost every ad on a singles site begins. A great many women are looking for true love. Many have so far been disappointed, lied to or even cheated on by men. For others, their great love simply died far too early through a stroke of fate. Even so, they pick themselves up again every time and set out once more to look for a man who will win their heart. Meeting the right man is certainly not easy and mostly happens only by chance. But especially for somewhat older women, it is hard to find a new partner who suits them. That is why singles sites exist. Women can post "looking for a man" ads there and state their ideas of a man. With a little luck, the dream man for the rest of their lives turns up, or at least someone to walk part of life's path with.

Are singles sites the right way?

When you're looking for a new partner, there are numerous ways to go about it. Besides "looking for a man" ads, there is also the chance to meet men in everyday life. Simply walk through the world with your eyes open, and perhaps you'll run into your dream man on the train or in a café. But few love stories begin that way. Many people rush through life and have no eyes for their surroundings, that is, for the people around them.

Even describing how you picture your dream man is still very hard to write. The biggest challenge is simply that the right man actually reads this ad and feels addressed by it. After that, he still has to dare to take the first step.

Which is a lot easier in writing than in person. Because then all you need is to be on the same wavelength, and it can work out. However, you should always be on your guard, as there are more and more black sheep on the internet who only want to take advantage of lonely women. It is advisable to simply pay attention to your gut feeling. So if your gut feeling says that something is wrong with the man, you should keep your hands off him and keep looking. Because here and there the right man is still hiding, the one you can spend the rest of your life with.
